Information you give us

Data saved to our marketing registry

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we save your email address and the date you subscribed. If you have a registered account, we may use other data, such as your name, birthday, and shopping history, to personalize marketing to you. You can unsubscribe at any time.

We use your personal information to:

Data protection

Data security matters to us. We protect personal data against unauthorized access, disclosure, destruction, and other unlawful processing with appropriate technical and organizational safeguards, including firewalls, encryption, secure data facilities, controlled access rights, and careful selection of our subcontractors.

Processing your data

• Your data is only processed when necessary, for example to deliver an order or send our newsletter
• We use good data practices, such as minimizing the data we use and anonymizing it where possible
• We will not send you unsolicited marketing or spam, and we comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Finnish data protection and electronic communications law

Storing your data

• Your webstore data is held within the EU, at a data center in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, at the premises of a trustworthy partner
• Your webstore account information is held for 2 years after your last order or login, unless you remove your account yourself first. Before we remove it, we send you a reminder so you can prevent that if you want to continue your customer relationship with us
• Some data must be kept longer where the law requires it, such as bookkeeping material, which we must retain for 7 years

Transfers outside the EU

Some of our service providers, such as Google, Stripe, PayPal, and Mailchimp, may also process data outside the EU and EEA, for example in the United States. In those cases, transfers rely on safeguards required by EU data protection law, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework approved by the European Commission, or the Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

We never sell your personal data. We do use third parties to provide services on our behalf, including payment processing, delivery, analytics, and marketing. Where any of your data is required for this, we take all reasonable steps to ensure it is handled safely, securely, and in line with the law. We currently share information with:

• Delivery provider (such as the postal service, DHL, or FedEx), to deliver your order: only what is necessary, such as your name, address, and in some cases phone number
• Payment processor (Stripe, PayPal, or Montonio): only what is strictly necessary to process your payment
• Google Analytics: statistics on site traffic, usage patterns, and sales. We may share aggregated statistics with third parties such as partners, but never including personally identifying information
• Google Ads: to show our ads and measure their performance, such as whether an ad led to a visit or an order. Only with your consent
• Mailchimp, to send our newsletter if you have subscribed: your email address and the information needed to personalize our marketing
• Accounting, for bookkeeping
• Web host, which hosts our website

To track our marketing campaigns, we also use our webstore's own tool, which saves tracking link and UTM tag data on our webstore's server. If you have accepted marketing cookies, it may use a cookie to connect your visit to a later order. Otherwise, the data is saved anonymously. This data is not shared with anyone.

In certain circumstances we may be legally required to share data, including personal information, for example in legal proceedings or to comply with legislation, a court order, or an official request from an authority. Where the law allows, we will let you know about such a request.

Cookies are small text files saved on your device. Our website places first party cookies, which are set and used only by us. They help us recognize you between visits, keep you logged in, and retain your shopping basket. These cookies are essential for the webstore to work, and we have chosen them carefully to respect your privacy.

You may also receive third party cookies through our site, which we use for traffic analytics (Google Analytics) and advertising (Google Ads). They are not essential to the site working, and you can manage your consent for them at any time through the cookie banner or GDPR Tools. Analytics and advertising cookies are only used if you consent to them.

We use Google Consent Mode. If you do not give consent, Google Analytics and Google Ads do not store cookies on your device, but may receive limited, cookieless data without identifiers that recognize you. Likewise, our own campaign tracking only works anonymously without your consent.

Data used for analytics is anonymized whenever possible; otherwise, such as when it includes your IP address, we treat it as personal data. You can also block cookies through your browser settings, though this may prevent some features of our site from working fully.
