Part of the RO-BIKI NOTE Museum Series by Yamamoto Paper, this pocket-sized notebook features Kingyo-zukushi (Goldfish Series) by Japanese ukiyo-e artist Utagawa Kuniyoshi (1798–1861).

Known for his imaginative and humorous artwork, Kuniyoshi brings underwater creatures to life in this playful series of prints. Goldfish, frogs, turtles, and other aquatic animals are depicted with human-like expressions and behaviors, creating amusing scenes full of personality.

During the late Edo period, keeping goldfish became increasingly popular among ordinary Japanese households. Kuniyoshi's entertaining depictions of these familiar pets would have delighted people of the time, combining everyday life with his distinctive sense of humor.

The original artwork is held in a private collection.

The RO-BIKI NOTE Museum Series celebrates artworks from museums and collections around the world, bringing a little piece of art history into everyday stationery.

Each notebook features a wax-coated paper cover that develops wrinkles, creases, and marks with use, gradually acquiring a leather-like aged appearance. Its compact, passport-sized format makes it easy to carry for travel, journaling, and everyday notes.

Inside are 60 pages of premium writing paper with a 5 mm dot grid.
