RO-BIKI Note Passport Size Notebook Museum Series - Myokaikou

Part of the RO-BIKI NOTE Museum Series by Yamamoto Paper, this pocket-sized notebook features Cats Suggested by the Fifty-Three Stations of the Tōkaidō (Myōkaikō Gojūsanbiki) by Japanese ukiyo-e artist Utagawa Kuniyoshi (1798–1861).

Kuniyoshi was known for his imaginative and humorous artwork, as well as his great love of cats. This playful print series is a parody of the famous Fifty-Three Stations of the Tōkaidō, depicting cats in various poses and activities that cleverly reference the names of the historic post towns along the Tōkaidō road.

A devoted cat lover, Kuniyoshi often included cats in his artwork, and it is even said that he sometimes painted with a cat tucked inside his kimono.

The original artwork is held in a private collection.

The RO-BIKI NOTE Museum Series celebrates artworks from museums and collections around the world, bringing a little piece of art history into everyday stationery.

Each notebook features a wax-coated paper cover that develops wrinkles, creases, and marks with use, gradually acquiring a leather-like aged appearance. Its compact, passport-sized format makes it easy to carry for travel, journaling, and everyday notes.

Inside are 60 pages of premium writing paper with a 5 mm dot grid.
